Taking art to the people was the name of the game and so a 1m mug was toured around the city and members of the public we encouraged to put their own art on the mug, causing a stir wherever it went and getting the media’s tastebuds a-tingling.
Amongst a haze of dull invitations our guests certainly knew where they had been served when they received a mug and pen in the post, condition of entry to the event was to produce their own art on their must and bring it with them to the event; guests mugs then formed a larger art installation which remained in the gallery.
